Remodel Old Jewellery Into Something New

Old jewellery often carries memories, even when it no longer suits the person wearing it

At The Middle Green, inherited jewellery, unworn rings and sentimental gold can be remodelled into something new while preserving the materials and stories that matter most

Every project is designed and handmade by Tom McDanielson in Wiltshire, with each commission approached individually

Simple remodelling projects using existing jewellery often start from around £250, with more complex commissions quoted individually

From Old Jewellery To New

Many remodelling projects begin with inherited jewellery, unworn rings, broken chains or pieces that no longer suit the wearer

Together we’ll explore what can be reused, what should be preserved and how the finished piece should look and feel

Existing gold and gemstones can often be incorporated into the new design, helping retain both value and meaning

Crafting The Final Design

Once your design is approved and your deposit secured, the piece moves into production

Most remodelling projects are completed within 4–6 weeks, depending on complexity and any additional materials required

Each piece is crafted in our Wiltshire studio using traditional bench skills alongside contemporary technology. When complete, it is hallmarked and prepared for presentation

All bespoke jewellery is made using recycled precious metals and ethically sourced gemstones from trusted suppliers

Jewellery Cleaning Guide

Looking After Your Jewellery

We know how special this bespoke jewellery piece will be to you or the recipient. All work is guaranteed for 2 years as long as the jewellery has been appropriately cared for.

You are welcome to bring any item of jewellery made by The Middle Green back once a year for a complimentary clean and polish as well as a general check for any wear and tear.

For more information about caring for your jewellery, be sure to take a look at our jewellery care guide to understand the optimal cleaning and care methods for different gemstones and metals.

Using Your Own Gemstones

On projects where you’d like us to use your diamonds and gemstones, we understand how incredibly valuable these are to you and that having them redesigned can sometimes be a quite sensitive and daunting project.

However, with our skillset, knowledge and with your input, together we can create a new piece you can treasure for a lifetime.
